Repo man can to take my car but he called it by a different kind of car then the one I have what can I do?

the bank thinks they financed me a completely different car then i actually financed. I haven't paid it in a few months and now they are trying to reposes it. But when the repo man came I wasn't home and he ask for maxima when I have a murano. Is there anything I can do?

If the VIN on the loan papers is correct, and the lien is filed correctly on the title, then they can take the vehicle no matter what vehicle is listed.

You really have two choices. You can pay the payments that you owe. You can let them have the vehicle.

In a forclosure do you owe them the differance after the bank sells your house?

We are waiting to here about our deed and lieu approval. We know that with deed in lieu we are not obligated to pay the bank back the differance when they sell the house. But if we were forced to do a forclosure would we be obligated to pay the differance once the bank auctioned or sold the house. If anyone knows something about this we would really appreciate it . Thanks

If the bank agrees to a short sale, then no, you will not be liable for the difference. I think that the IRS has temporary measures in place for 2008-2009 as well that forgives the difference. In the past, the amount of money forgiven by the bank was considered by the IRS as taxable income, but not this year or next year.

You will want to get a written notice from the bank that clearly states that you will not owe the balance of the loan once the house is sold, if that is what the bank agrees on. And keep that written notice at hand, on file, for the rest of your life. If the bank forecloses and sells the house at a loss, it will be a toss-up. Call the mortgage officer and discuss the situation with them and get them to write you a letter clearly stating what will be expected of you if the house is foreclosed on before you sell the house.

Will I still get my tax refund, or will the government take it?

My husband has been deployed, and is coming home this week. He said that there is some type of refund that we get back since we are homeowners and he was deployed. All the guys he knows get is when they get home. However, we have defulted on our home loan, but we are calling this week to make a payment arrangement. What about our normal tax refund?
What about the one for my house thing? I dont really know what it is?

There is no connection between your home loan and your income tax refund
